Caribbean Princess has become the first Princess Cruises ship to offer all guests access to the Ocean Medallion, a first-of-its-kind wearable device that enables guests to enjoy a fully personalised cruise experience.

First unveiled by Princess Cruises’ parent company Carnival Corporation in January 2017, the Ocean Medallion can be worn or carried by passengers to anticipate their every onboard need. Benefits include touch-free access to staterooms, enhanced interactions with crew members and other guests, personalised dining experiences, interactive entertainment and gaming, wayfinding, transaction-free payments and expedited embarkation and disembarkation. Guests will also be able to connect to portals throughout the ship to see a real-time overview of their itinerary and the events and activities taking place during their cruise.

Caribbean Princess now also features MedallionNet, which provides internet streaming speeds equivalent to those onshore.

“Having 100% of our guests using Ocean Medallion on every sailing of Caribbean Princess is a significant milestone that we are celebrating on the path to fleet-wide implementation,” said Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises. “Our guests tell us that Ocean Medallion is turning an already extraordinary experience on Princess Cruises into an even more spectacular holiday, making sailing on Caribbean Princess the ultimate Caribbean cruise.”

Princess will now carry out a phased implementation of Ocean Medallion across the rest of its fleet.
