Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Jewel is to sail her inaugural itineraries from Sydney in Australia in the 2017-2018 season.

Highlights of the maiden season will include seven roundtrips from Sydney, including a five-day cruise to Tasmania and a nine-day voyage to regional destinations like Eden, Kangaroo Island and Tasmania’s Burnie. Norwegian Jewel’s ten- to 16-day Australia and New Zealand itineraries depart between November 2017 and February 2018 and feature a passage through New Zealand’s Milford Sound and the Bay of Islands.

Departing Sydney on 20 February, Norwegian Jewel will sail an 18-day voyage to her Singapore homeport, which will take guests to North Queensland, Darwin and Komodo Island in the north of Australia. While based in Singapore, Norwegian Jewel will visit Vietnam, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Korea and other Asian destinations.

“As the Norwegian Cruise Line brand continues to grow internationally, we are incredibly excited to offer new and more exotic itineraries for our guests, including a full season of cruises from Australia and New Zealand in autumn-winter 2017-2018,” said Andy Stuart, president and COO at Norwegian. “We also continue to offer a wide variety of engaging and interesting itineraries for our guests sailing from the US, including favourite destinations like the Caribbean and the Bahamas.”

Norwegian will return to San Juan in Puerto Rico with Norwegian Dawn, which will offer seven-, ten- and 11-day Southern Caribbean itineraries between 12 November 2017 and 7 January 2018. Ports of call will include Bridgetown, Barbados; Fort-de-France, Martinique; Basseterre, St. Kitts; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Following this, Norwegian Dawn will sail two 11-day Eastern Caribbean and one ten-day Western Caribbean cruise from Tampa, Florida. These will include a call at private destination Harvest Caye, which is currently being developed by Norwegian.

Sailing from New Orleans between 22 October and 1 April, Norwegian Pearl will operate new seven-, eight- and nine-day Western Caribbean cruises. Destinations will include Cozumel, Mexico; Roatán, Bay Islands, Honduras; Harvest Caye, Belize; and Costa Maya, Mexico, with varying ports for longer itineraries that can include George Town, Grand Cayman and Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala.

Between 1 October 2017 and 29 April 2018, Norwegian Breakaway will sail seven-day Bahamas and Florida cruises from New York, US. The ship will also offer two 14-day Southern Caribbean itineraries to the US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, St. Maarten and Dominica. Meanwhile, a 12-day Eastern Caribbean cruise will take guests to St. Kitts, Antigua and Tortola.

Also new for 2018 is Norwegian Breakaway’s 14-day Western Caribbean cruise from New York to the new Great Stirrup Cay, Harvest Caye, Belize, Ocho Rios in Jamaica, George Town in Grand Cayman, Roatan in Honduras, and Cozumel in Mexico.
