MSC Cruises, which will welcome 25,000 children on its ships in 2018, has enhanced the family offerings onboard its ships, creating a new Family Explorer Club and new activities and an onboard mascot for MSC Seaview, which launches this summer.

The Family Explorer Club will offer several new interactive onshore tours, which will meet the needs of both children and adults. Children will act as detectives and explorers to accomplish a mission on each tour, which will be inspired by the history of the destination. Parents will be equipped with interactive explorer maps so they can help children to read the instructions, start the mission and collect stickers when they complete tasks. The Family Explorer Club will be available on ships sailing in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.

When MSC Seaview launches in June 2018, MSC Cruises will offer a range of interactive games and other activities for children of all ages, which will be themed around the newbuild being the ‘ship of the summer’.

Activities will include a new interactive live family show; the Doremi Summer Game, where parents and children can challenge each other to name popular songs and videos; and the Doremi Summer Parade, which will take place every sea day on the pool deck. Teenagers will also be able to participate in the Summer Selfie Contest, which will involve taking 30 must-have 'selfies' around the ship.

A new mascot named Dore Summer will join the Doremi family on MSC Seaview. The 11-year-old surfer mascot will feature prominently in a new exploration game for children called ‘Find Dore Summer’ around the ship.

MSC Cruises’ long-time partners LEGO and Chicco will return onboard MSC Seaview and also provide the Chicco MSC Seaside ship toy for babies and toddlers. The toy comes complete with realistic ship horn sounds and Caribbean-inspired music and joins the previously launched MSC Meraviglia LEGO ship toy.
