Port management and development consultant Jordi Caballé Valls has been named as the new secretary general of MedCruise, an association of cruise ports in the Mediterranean.

In his new role, Caballé will provide his expertise in tax regulations and auditing to the association. Caballé will also draw on the experience he has developed from being involved in many seaport projects, where he advised both private companies and public bodies such as European Sea Ports Organisation, World Bank, and port authorities worldwide. He is also investigating port policies, port choice, and port concessions as part of his PhD in Economics and Business.

“It is an honour for me to be part of the world’s biggest cruise port association,” said Caballé. “I will work very hard together with the president and the board of directors to achieve the goals of the association, which are our members’ goals.”
