Raymond Fitzgerald, COO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines Logistics (WWL) and chairman of American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier (ARC) will give the keynote address at the inaugural Greenport Congress America 2018 this May.

Following welcome addresses from Maryland’s Transportation Secretary Peter Rahn and Lieutenant Governor Boyd Rutherford, Fitzgerald will address the Greenport audience from a shipping and logistics company perspective during the event at the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore.

Patrick Verhoeven, chairman of the International Association of Ports and Harbours, will deliver a keynote speech on the second day of the conference. Verhoeven, who has more than 20 years’ experience in leading international port and shipping organisations, will also moderate a session centred around sister ports working together on making their facilities and operations greener.

The second day of the conference will also include a presentation from Kurt Nagle, president and CEO of The American Association of Port Authorities. He will discuss environmental performance measurement, focusing on how ports can monitor and report environmental practices, as well as the challenges/opportunities of improving performance in ports, terminals and surrounding communities.

“GreenPort Congress aims to create partnerships that work towards making ports greener and smarter,” said Marianne Rasmussen-Coulling, events director at Mercator Media. “We are delighted with the high calibre of speakers we are welcoming to the conference in May and the wealth of knowledge they will bring with them to help ports around the world achieve these goals.”
