Norwegian Cruise Line is to host Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and Grammy Award-winning singer Jon Bon Jovi on two cruises in 2019.

Both ‘Runaway To Paradise cruises have been organised in partnership with Runaway Tours, which creates ‘intimate artists experiences’, and Sixthman, which is bringing its music festival vacation experiences to sea for the first time next year.

Bon Jovi will join guests onboard the ship at each destination port to perform a full concert with the 11-piece Kings of Suburbia band, as well as a second acoustic storyteller set where he will answer fans’ questions. Guests will also be able to watch multiple shows from support artists (to be announced), attend panel discussions with key figures from Bon Jovi’s past, browse historic memorabilia in the Jon Bon Jovi Gallery, visit the Hart N Dagger pop up shop and taste Jon and Jesse Bongiovi’s new Hampton Water rosé wine. Norwegian will also replicate the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation’s non-profit community restaurant, The JBJ Soul Kitchen, on both ships.

All guests will take home an autographed event lithograph and those who book in the first 400 staterooms on each cruise will get a photo opportunity with Bon Jovi.

“Ever since we started Runaway Tours, it’s given me such joy to entertain the fans and tell them the stories of where my songs came from,” said Bon Jovi. “What I’ve realised after all these years is that they’ve found not only my stories, but their own. Hundreds of people have gotten together every time we take off for a destination, and long-lasting friendships are born. We want to continue that tradition in Runaway’s fully-immersive vacation trips.”

Norwegian Jade will sail the first voyage from 12-16 April, taking guests from PortMiami, Florida to Nassau in The Bahamas. Norwegian Pearl will embark on the second sailing from Barcelona, Spain on 26 August and arrive in Palma, Majorca on 30 August.

“We are beyond excited to host Runaway to Paradise aboard Norwegian Jade and Pearl,” said Andy Stuart, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Hosting an international rock and roll sensation like Jon Bon Jovi is a testament of our commitment to offer world-class entertainment for all who sail with us. With the recent refurbishments, both of the ships are ideal venues to host this musical experience and will certainly provide our guests with the vacation of a lifetime.”
