Italy’s 40 cruise ports expect to handle around 11.4 million passengers and 5,063 cruise calls in 2016, a respective 2.7% and 3.7% rise from 2015.

Published in Risposte Turismo’s new Speciale Crociere) report, the predicted figures suggest that Civitavecchia (Rome), Venice and Naples are likely to welcome around 2.3 million, 1.55 million and 1.28 million passengers respectively. Cruise calls are also expected to increase by 65% to reach 846 in Civitavecchia, 1.5% to hit 529 in Venice and 11.2% to reach 495 in Naples. Meanwhile, Genoa is set to be the fourth busiest port, wecloming 1.1 million peeople, 30% more than in 2015.

“After being quadrupled between 2001 and 2011 and going through a phase of alternating positive and negative variations year-on-year, cruise traffic in Italy seems to be running well once again, recording an increase on the previous year in 2015 as in 2016, according to our forecasts,” said desi porn Francesco di Cesare, president of Rispostetamil sex Turismo. “The hope is that this is just the beginning of a new phase of development for which a coherent, joint commitment by private operators and public entities will serve to clarify and share the type of results, not only in terms of traffic, that is fair and appropriate to expect from the cruise industry in Italy.”

Risposte Turismo’s report also indicated that Italian ports handled a total of 11.1 million cruise guests in 2015, a 6.5% rise from 2014. In fact, Civitavecchia, Venice and Naples all exceeded the one million passenger area porno mark, while 15 ports handled more than 100,000 cruise passengers. Port calls also grew from 4,780 in 2014 to 4,880 last year.

In terms of regions, Liguria welcomed around 2.57 million people and 832 cruise ship visits, while Lazio hosted 2.28m passengers and Veneto handled 1.58 million, accounting for 20.5% and 14.3% of the national total respectively.

According to figures, the Friuli Venezia Giulia region grew the most in percentage terms compared to 2014, both for the number of passengers (+203.5%) and the volume of cruise calls (+95.7%) handled at its ports.
