Galileo has rejoined Variety Cruises’ fleet following a US$ 1.2 million renovation, which took place between November 2015 and March 2016.

The three-masted, 49-guest ship underwent significant refurbishments in both the indoor and outdoor public areas, including the sundeck, which features new sun loungers and cushions. Other highlights include the Indoor Bar & Lounge and Dining area on the main deck, which was refreshed with reupholstered furniture, soft fabrics and new wood flooring and carpets.

All 25 of the ship’s cabins were equipped with new bedding, furniture, soft fabrics, flat-screen TVs and a mini fridge. In addition, the 16 cabins and guest corridor on the lower deck were upgraded with wood panelling and new wallpaper and carpets.

Galileo will operate cruises in Greece and the Greek Islands until November 2016 and will then return to the region between March and November 2017. The ship will sail ‘Antiquity to Byzantium’ itineraries in March, April, October and November, and offer weekly ‘Jewels of the Cyclades’ voyages from April to October.
