Evac is to provide Complete Cleantech Solutions for Star Cruises two new Global Class newbuilds, which will debut in 2020 and 2021.

Marking the biggest-ever deal in Evac’s history, the new agreement will see both vessels being fitted with vacuum toilets and systems for vacuum collection, wastewater treatment, and dry and wet waste treatment. Evac will also provide reverse osmosis systems to enable the ships to generate freshwater.

“Evac’s Complete Cleantech Solution noticeably simplifies implementation and coordination in the building process of the yard,” said Ljubo Jurisevic, managing director of Evac Germany and president of Evac Global Cruise Business. “The added value of Evac’s complete solution is that its integrated solutions reduce interfaces and thus risks for the shipyard and ship owner.”

Evac’s global team will be on hand to provide long-term equipment management and maintenance services following the initial implementation.

“This one-stop shop is what sets Evac apart,” said Jurisevic.

Star Cruises' two newbuilds will be built by MV Werften.
