Finnish company Deltamarin is to provide conceptual design and consultancy services for a new 220-guest expedition mega yacht that will be operated by Norwegian Yacht Voyages.

Deltamarin will collaborate with select architects to produce the conceptual design for the newbuild, which will be christened Caroline. The vessel will be designed to Polar Class 6 standards and will be equipped with dual-fuel generators that will be able to run on both diesel and LNG fuel, as well as several other solutions to minimise emissions. Onboard highlights will include 110 suites and penthouses and ‘ultra-luxury’ public spaces.

“We are very proud to announce our partnership with Norwegian Yacht Voyages to develop this ambitious project, which is to be the greenest mega yacht we have seen to date,” said Jaakko Lappi, Deltamarin’s sales manager. “Deltamarin has an excellent track record of designing highly energy-efficient and environmentally friendly passenger vessels, so we are very excited to join this project.”
