The Port of Zadar has seen a 90% increase in the number of passengers visiting its shores in 2016, rising from 74,000 passengers in 2015 to 136,000.

Having already relocated its existing passenger shipping activities to the new Gaženica ferry and cruise port, Zadar is now focusing its attention on improving its cruise facilities, including construction of a new terminal building.

Work is already underway and is expected to finish at the beginning of 2018.

Thanks to the new Gaženica port, Zadar is now able to accommodate cruise ships of all sizes and is boosting its reputation as an ideal cruise destination, bringing more tourism to the Adriatic and Mediterranean.
