The Port of Cork in Ireland is to welcome Disney Cruise Line for the first time in summer 2018.

The 3,700-person Disney Magic will make a maiden visit in Cork as part of Disney’s new seven-night British Isles cruise in September 2018. Other ports of call on the itinerary include Dublin, Ireland; Greenock, Scotland; and Liverpool, England.

While in Cork, Disney’s guests will be able to visit the city’s pubs, shops, cafes and historic sites like Blarney Castle.

“After years of marketing the region and port capabilities, we are delighted to say the hard work has paid off and we are very excited to welcome Disney Cruise Line to our port in 2018,” said Michael McCarthy, commercial manager at the Port of Cork. “I have no doubt this call will be one of many into the future as we grow our relationship with Disney Cruise Line.”

Cork expects to host 69 cruise ships in 2017 – its busiest year to date.
