Carnival Cruise Line is to reposition Carnival Victory to San Juan in Puerto Rico in November 2016.

From 6 November, the 102,000gt ship will replace Carnival Fascination on the line’s popular seven-day southern Caribbean schedule and carry around 150,000 guests from San Juan per year. Guests will visit St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and St. Maarten.

Prior to arriving in San Juan, Carnival Victory will operate a seven-day cruise from Port Canaveral in Florida, US, calling at St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Antigua and St. Maarten. Meanwhile, Carnival Fascination will offer an eight-day cruise from San Juan to Miami, which includes visits to St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Maarten and Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

“Our popular southern Caribbean cruises from San Juan offer our guests the opportunity to visit five different tropical destinations during their week-long holiday and each of these fantastic ports feature not only spectacular beaches but also a wide variety of sightseeing opportunities and attractions,” said Christine Duffy, Carnival’s president.

In addition, Carnival Ecstasy will move to Charleston in South Carolina, and Carnival Fantasy will be based in Miami from February 2016.

“We’re excited to provide two terrific ‘Fun Ship’ holiday choices with Carnival Ecstasy sailing from Charleston and Carnival Fantasy from Miami,” said Duffy.

Carnival Ecstasy will sail year-round, four-day voyages to Nassau in the Bahamas, while the five-day cruises will visit Nassau and Freeport or the private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay. Seven-day options include a journey to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau, or a trip to Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic, Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay. There will also be three six-day cruises departing 23 May and 2 and 30 October, which will call at Freeport, Nassau and Half Moon Cay.

Currently based in Charleston, Carnival Fantasy will move to Miami to operate the line’s popular three- and four-day cruise schedule from 22 February.

Guests on the three-day weekend cruises will overnight in Nassau, while those on the four-day voyages will call at Key West in Florida and Cozumel, Mexico.

Prior to arriving in her Miami homeport, Carnival Fantasy will offer a five-day cruise to Amber Cove and Grand Turk. Carnival Fascination will assume this route from Carnival Fantasy beginning 7 November 2016.
