Carnival Cruise Line is to reposition three of its newest and largest ships to new year-round homeports in 2018.

Carnival’s newest ship, the 133,500gt Carnival Vista will join Carnival Freedom and Carnival Valor in Galveston, Texas to sail two different seven-day western Caribbean itineraries from 23 September. The first itinerary includes calls at Montego Bay, Jamaica; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; and Cozumel, Mexico. The second features visits to Mahogany Bay on Isla Roatan, Belize and Cozumel.

Meanwhile, Carnival Breeze will kick off her new Port Canaveral-based cruise schedule on 30 September with a six-day cruise to Nassau, Bahamas; Amber Cove, Dominican Republic; and Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos. The ship will then offer alternating eastern and western Caribbean cruises beginning on 6 October and departing every Sunday.

Guests opting for the eastern Caribbean itinerary will visit Amber Cove, St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, San Juan in Mexico, and Grand Turk. Western Caribbean voyages will feature Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay and Costa Maya.

Carnival Breeze will also operate two 14-day Carnival Journeys cruises. The first will depart on 16 September as the ship repositions from Galveston to Port Canaveral, calling at calling at Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curaçao, Grenada, Barbados, Dominica and St. Maarten. The other cruise will operate roundtrip from Port Canaveral on 3 November and include calls at St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, Barbados, St. Maarten, Tortola, and San Juan. Carnival Magic will reposition to PortMiami to join Carnival Glory, Carnival Sensation, and Carnival Victory at the line’s busiest homeport. From 30 September, the ship will sail a year-round schedule of seven-day alternating eastern and western Caribbean cruises. Eastern Caribbean cruises will call at Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk. Western Caribbean sailings will feature Grand Cayman, Mahogany Bay, Belize and Cozumel.

Carnival Magic will also offer a special seven-day Cozumel Plus holiday cruise departing Miami on 23 December with visits to Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay and Grand Cayman.
