Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Paradise will be fitted with new cabins, balconies, dining venues and other onboard innovations during a month-long dry dock at Grand Bahama Shipyard in The Bahamas this March.

During the refurbishment, Carnival Paradise will be fitted with 38 new cabins. They will include two Grand Vista suites offering floor-to-ceiling windows, 22 junior suites, two ocean view cabins and 12 interior cabins. In addition, 98 existing staterooms will be fitted with private verandas, while all guest accommodation will be redecorated with Tropical island-inspired interiors.

Carnival Paradise will also be fitted with several new poolside venues, including RedFrog Rum Bar, Mexican eatery BlueIguana Cantina, BlueIguana Tequila Bar and Guy’s Burger Joint, which was developed in partnership with Food Network TV personality Guy Fieri. Other new venues will include the marine-inspired Camp Ocean play area designed for children aged 2-11 years old, and the WaterWorks Aqua Park, which will comprise an enclosed 300-foot-long Twister water slide, two 82-foot-long racing slides, and a children’s splash zone.

Several existing areas will also be upgraded during the refit. The nine-hole miniature golf course will be relocated to Deck 14, the retail outlets will be redesigned, and the printed photo gallery will be replaced with a digital Pixels-branded platform that allows guests to purchase images via their smartphones or at a nearby kiosk.

Following her renovation, Carnival Paradise will resume her year-round programme from Tampa, Florida on 26 March 2018. She will sail four-day cruises to Cozumel, Mexico; five-day cruises to Cozumel or Mahogany Bay (Roatan), Grand Cayman or Key West; four-day cruises visiting Havana, Cuba; five-day cruises calling at Havana and Cozumel or Key West; and eight-day voyages to Havana, Key West and Grand Cayman.
