Carnival Elation is at the final stages of a multi-million-dollar renovation that includes the addition of a new water park, 38 cabins, 98 balconies to existing staterooms and a variety of dining venues.

The ship’s new dining venues will include the poolside Guy’s Burger Joint, developed in partnership with Food Network’s Guy Fieri, RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Mexican cantina and tequila bar.

The 38 new cabins include two Grand Vista suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and 22 junior suites. Private verandas have been added to 98 existing staterooms, all of which will have new island-inspired interiors.

The WaterWorks water park will feature an enclosed 300-foot-long Twister water slide, two 82-foot racing slides and a splash zone for kids.

Other features of the renovation include the Camp Ocean marine-inspired play area for kids aged 2-11 and the relocation of the mini golf course to Deck 14.

After its renovation, Carnival Elation will continue its year-round schedule of four- to eight-day cruises from Jacksonville, Florida. Cruises to The Bahamas feature stops at Freeport, Nassau and the private destinations of Half Moon Cay and Princess Cays. It will also offer a special six-day Bahamas cruise and an eight-day Bermuda voyage in April 2018 as well as a one-time seven-day eastern Caribbean cruise the following month.
