Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Breeze made her inaugural call in Grenada on 25 September, marking the start of the Caribbean island’s 2018-2019 cruise season.

Carnival Breeze sailed into Grenada with around 4,428 passengers and 1,386 crew members, who were welcomed to the port by a steel pan band. Guests embarked on organised tours to the island’s award-winning rum distilleries, waterfalls, chocolate factories and other attractions. The tours were provided by George F. Huggins, the Grenada and National Taxi Association’s Watertaxi Association and other stakeholders.

Meanwhile, Carnival Breeze’s captain and crew hosted an onboard commemorative plaque exchange ceremony to mark the ship’s maiden call. Attendees included: Clarice Modeste-Curwen, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, and representatives from the Grenada Tourism Authority, Grenada Ports Authority, Customs, Immigration, Royal Grenada Police Force and agents George F. Huggins. Modeste-Curwen also provided an update on the Grenada is doing to improve frontline customer services for cruise guests.
