Canaveral Port Authority in Florida has selected Bermello Ajamil & Partners (B&A) as the design consultant for its new US$150 million cruise terminal.

The project includes a 190,000 square foot terminal, 1,650 space parking garage, site work and roadway and utility improvements. B&A will provide architectural and engineering designs and permitting services, a role worth a reported US$5 million.

CHM2 Engineering has already been selected to provide waterside design, engineering and support services.

Bill Crowe, senior director of engineering, construction and facilities at Port Canaveral, said the port wants the design phase to be finished by early summer 2018. Construction is expected to be completed by autumn 2019.
