Almaco is to provide food handling solutions for provision stores onboard Royal Caribbean International’s third Quantum-class ship Ovation of the Seas.

Currently under construction at the Meyer Werft yard, the newbuild is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2016. Last October, the company provided 2,050sqm of provision stores onboard the line’s newbuild Quantum of the Seas and will deliver the same equipment for Anthem of the Seas in 2015.

“With more than 20 years of in-house experience delivering food handling products to the cruise market, Almaco continues to lead the market with high-quality and efficient catering solutions,” said Joseph Kerebel, vice president of engineering in Almaco’s marine division.

Almaco will also provide 2,600sqm food handling solutions for provision stores and refrigeration machinery onboard Royal Caribbean’s two Oasis-class newbuilds, which are currently under construction at the STX France yard. The company has completed the engineering phase and started to install the machinery onboard the third Oasis-class ship, recently named Harmony of the Seas.

Harmony of the Seas is scheduled to be delivered in spring 2016, while her unnamed sister ship will debut in spring 2018.
